ART DAYS are mixed media art workshops for people who wish to come along and create their own art in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere.
On this blog site are examples of subjects we have used for inspiration, along with images of some of the work produced. Some of these are done by quite inexperienced artists. Forthcoming programmes are also posted here and a few 'artists in action' shots.
The days are absorbing, we work hard and enjoy ourselves. Think about coming along yourself.

I AM JUST A BEGINNER.......
There have been more beginners and 'returners' than those with experience -some people who haven't done any art since school. So this is the place for you. There is plenty of help, tuition, and personal attention and the tasks are demonstrated and explained in stages. We work in a friendly, encouraging and relaxed atmosphere. Materials are provided so you don't need to bring anything. Easy!
LOCATION
The workshops take place in the Boston Spa area of West Yorkshire. For information email hello2marilyn@yahoo.co.uk

Paint, collage, print
Inspired by Klimt
This piece of work was done by a newcomer to collage, paint being her usual medium. It incorporates the use of 'masking' off technique for paint, printing with embossed wallpaper, stencilling through sequin waste, and collage with metallic doiyleys and waste papers.
There is close attention to colour, balance and composition which all contribute to the success of the piece.
